Artist Profile
Bobby Jones
Bobby Jones’ felt tip line drawings are simple depictions of members of the public. The titles are all New York subway stations, referencing the area the subjects were observed, where Jones picks out the quirky and the beautiful from the mundane surroundings of the city streets.Jones is never without his pens and note book; he carries only 3 coloured pens in his pocket, using them to make quick deliberate marks. The prints are reproduced straight from the sketch book the drawings were made in, giving them that raw, only just made feel that’s apparent in all the best illustrations.
